the road so far

Ahh gosh I love those 'the road so far's from Supernatural. *plays the song 'carry on my wayward son' in background as I type*

So I'm gonna talk about what happened after that. After the shaving, the half marathon, Relay for Life, Sabah trip.

The physiology quiz. Yup, more impulsive decisions.
I thought it'd be quite fun so I tagged along the group, turns out in the end we came 3rd after Chulalongkorn and NUS. Well, no thanks to me but anyway it's a good experience :D
I was in panic mode like, in the whole week before the quiz.

Some charity dinner organized by Stella's CBP group I think. There was soo much food we cant finish them. But the best part of the night is that i get to be a pimp muahaha.

Saw this picture and I laughed really hard haha. Yes that's me. In the bus, on the way to Times Square as usual right Roger? hahahahahaha.

Grace's birthday. We made multiple nice little tiny straw roses for her which totally screwed up my thenar and hypothenar muscles but it's worth it. It's her 21st! And yes I am conscious that I'm an outfit repeater thank you.

Dinner with Dr Arul and his wife and Dr Lingham with my PCL group ppl and priya's plus one hehe. Gosh they cant stop talking about me the whole night!! Looking forward to see him again next week :D

Coming up next - MUMEDS dinner.

It's in a lovely hotel around bangi I think, supposed to be outdoor garden kinda thing but too bad it rained so we had to go for the traditional indoor ones instead. Gosh have i told you how much i love buffet? :)
I could've sworn I took a lot more pictures than this. Must be still in Sarah's camera =.=''
I miss those times :)

Our very first intervarsity HIV youth summit. I know you cant really see me in this picture, but it's a cool picture so i'm just gonna put it up here anyway muahaha.

Great event, great people, nice hotel to stay in, awesome overnight l4d games :D
We spent both nights in cybercafe even though we have nice rooms in the hotel. No sleep.
After 2 days if no sleep we just go crazy. But hey it's fun.

See what I mean?

Nick's 21st. Have you seen the present- the most impressive and eco-friendly present ever?

Took us literally days to make it. Yeah we're awesome.

Best dessert ever too. The chocolate flows out of the cake slowly like lava as soon as the walls are breached. 5 minute later the whole plate would be chocolate-filled. And there's the ice cream too! Yum.

Sri Lanka trip - coolest trip ever. Literally.

There's nothing wrong with the camera, it's just the bone-chilling wind and mist, no big deal. nyeh. We're in between 2 peaks, so the wind was blowing like nobody's business and it's freezing there.

White water rafting at Kithulgala. Milder version of the Sabah's. But we got capsized all the same haha.

Insanely awesome waterfall. Reward after a craazy long hike in the bloodsuckers-infested tropical rain forest. At the end of the day I was shocked to see my underwear and the posterior part of my pants drenched in blood.  Man those leeches can really crawl.

Meet Sirigiya Or Sigiriya. Supposedly the eigth wonder of the world :)
They say king kong is the 8th wonder, obviously they haven't been here.

Adam's Peak. I cannot begin to tell you how awesome it was. The cimb up there accompanied by the night sky which practically littered with uncountable stars, spending the night on freezing cement floor on top of the mountain with just a thin jacket and blanket, the awe when the color of the sky changes as the sun rises slowly, really slowly - yup, magical.

Great trip. :)
Alright, jumping on to other stories.

Deric's 21st. I touched down in KL right before they left haha.

Next - My own birthday. 20th.In Lazio. Love that place, the carbonara is my favourite :D

:)

Malacca Trip

It was an interesting trip. Stayed in shoplot hotels, went out at midnight to eat satay celup, eating chicken rice balls everyday, exploring the place, getting summons :D

Terence's 20th

We wanted to surprise him at pool area. But we didn't take into account that he can see the pool area through his room window lol.

Celebrated his bday at TGIF afterwards too.

And also Tim's bday at the same place the next week :D

He had another party at his place, beside the pool.
Tim's bday party was nice too. With really nice food and of course, more l4d.

My housemate's birthday.
Ambushed him and threw him into the pool first thing in the morning haha.
I baked a cake too. Chocolate cake yaay. :D

Broga hill.
Well it's really unfair to compare this to Adam's Peak hans. But anyway this is quite a nice place to come. Refreshing air, sunrise, windy. We went there at 6am and hiked, it was all dark and we had to rely on torchlights. My first time doing so, it's really cool. We should have this kind of trip more often :D

----------------------------------------------

That's it. The road so far.

There has been some great, great times, and of course horrible times too. We fall so that we can learn to pick ourselves up. Without the horrible times we wouldn't know how great the great times were right?

'Forgive and forget', the line that you tell yourself, you tell others, others tell you, movies tell you.

If you don't love or care, then things couldn't hurt you and there would be absolutely nothing to forgive and forget. It is one's love and care in the first place that made one vulnerable. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. Whether we like it or not, we do hurt others, as much as others hurt us. And it's not that both parties don't care about each other. They do. Otherwise there'd be no hurt, right? Look at it this way, if you cant even bring yourself to do the two F's, how can you expect others to return you the favor?

Do your part. Acknowledge that others do care for you. Love.
Time will piece things together again. :)

----------------------------------------------------------

Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher
But I flew too high

On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more..

I'm growing up. I hope. :)
