FRUSTRATION

ARRRGH!!

I don't know what on earth is going on..
All my files - as in, my pictures, some powerpoint presentations, notes, avatars, funny pics etc- ALL GONE..
My folder, which was initially hidden, was discovered missing this morning..
When I turned my com on today, the "folder option" is set in a way that hidden files are shown, which of course, means that someone (or something?) changed the settings earlier..

I tried everything..
Google for solution (in case it's some kind of bug), tried some of the offered solutions..

Experimented with file recovery software (the kind of program which will recover your files after got deleted FROM recycle bin)..
I DID found some of my files there.. But that's it.. just a few files/pictures which I recognized their names..
Basically the files seemed to be in a bad condition after I recovered them.. Can't even open them..

Damn it.. -Allow me - WTF is going on?
Virus infection is unlikely.
A bug in windows seems unlikely too, though that's a possibility.. But, my files just vanished into thin air. They are not in a "hidden" form, as usually they are still accessible via Shortcuts I created earlier even when they are hidden.

Another possibility is someone deleted them.
But who? And why?

Damn frustrated and sad now.. Argh..
Next time I'm gonna get 8GB pen drive and backup all my stuffs.. hmph.
